About Us
Experience an African wildlife safari at Marula Game Lodge with game and bird viewing and bush walks. Marula Lodge is situated in the Limpopo/Mpumalanga province of South Africa, about 1½ hours drive from Johannesburg International (now O. R. Tambo) Airport, en route to the Kruger National Park. This area is known as the Bushveld with a moderate climate making Marula an ideal all-year-round, malaria-free holiday destination.
Accommodation is provided in beautiful chalets and a luxury private Guesthouse (Nyala Luxury Bush Lodge) surrounded by natural bush filled with the sights and sounds of game and birds.
Our facilities also include a thatched lapa where our guests can listen to the nocturnal sounds of the bush around a Bushveld fire while enjoying African cuisine.
We structure our recreational activities to suit our guest's needs. Join us for a daily bush walk and view our wildlife which includes hippo, giraffe, zebra, kudu, blue wildebeest, impala, many bird species and more...

Accommodation
Marula Lodge has a number of rustic thatched Chalets that provides comfortable accommodation to its guests. It also boasts a traditional Boma and swimming pool to entertain guests and provide a true African safari experience.
Nyala house can sleep 8-11 people.
Weekend and School holiday accomodation will only be accepted on a 2 night minimum stay.
Have breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio while enjoying the sounds of nature or just settle down at the end of an exciting day.
Accommodation at Marula Lodge Main camp consists of chalets sleeping 2 to 4 persons. Larger groups may want to make use of the Self Catering option. The chalets are fully equipped and are serviced daily, bedding and towels are provided.
We are currently upgrading our chalets into self catering units with airconditioning.
All rooms have:
- 220 V, 50 Hz electrical supply
- tea and coffee facility
Enjoy a leisurely walk through our lovely gardens and see some of the many bird species found at Marula Lodge.
We provide conference / team building facilities in a relaxed quiet environment.
