Thorndale Safari’s game lodge has been awarded a five-star accommodation rating from the South African Tourism Grading Council. It is strategically positioned atop a hillside overlooking 5000 hectares of bushveld, accompanied by a perfect African sunset.
All luxury bedrooms are en-suite, with a spacious lounge encircling a rock-face fireplace. Open the stack-away doors to a wraparound bar with a covered porch, outdoor swimming pool, and undercover braai area. The living area becomes the setting for many long nights lounging by the fireplace or socialising at the bar.

While hunting is the prime objective, there are many other attractions close by whether for yourself or the family. The Addo Elephant National Park, The Daniell Cheetah Breeding Project in Kirkwood, and for some retail therapy Port Elizabeth offers an impressive array of restaurants, shops and speciality stores as well as endless entertainment for the younger guests. It also offers a rich cultural history and boasts miles of pristine beaches. For those who just want to relax we can organize Spa treatments in the luxury of the Lodge. Fishing and deep sea fishing trips can also be arranged on request.
